April 4, 2013 - Inception
Galactiminer began its journey in 2013, under the banner of Haloman Development. The original idea wasn't much beyond a clone of Murder Miners with maybe one or two added features. Back in those times, haloman30 was a young child with very little ideas of how to make games. The original game never got any further than texture swapping publicly available XNA block-based world generators and some music samples. After an announcement for a sequel (before the first one was even playable) and a Minecraft mod to represent some potential features, it was put on an unannounced, indefinite hold in favor of something new...
Sometime in 2014 - Project: Infinity
Sometime in early 2014, Project: Infinity was announced. Despite making very little progress in the many years it was under Haloman Development, the only real progress happened when Elaztek Studios came into the scene in 2017. From 2014 up until late 2018, Galactiminer sat in Project: Infinity's shadow - seemingly forgotten. It was mentioned on the Elaztek website as a former project of Haloman Development, but that was it - and it was only really because Elaztek had stepped in and taken over all the rights and assets of what little Haloman Development had created.
August 31, 2018 - Evolved
Over 5 years after the original concept for Galactiminer had been created and cancelled, a new idea was born to take upon the Galactiminer name. Something more than just guns and blocks - something that could truly be a unique and exciting experience. And to fully represent that idea, the name was changed to Galactiminer: Evolved - to convey that this wasn't the same unoriginal idea from the days of old - that this was something new and bold. That is where we are today.
There's still a lot of work to do. The road ahead is a long one, but it is not infinite. Galactiminer is our first step into the world of game development. It won't be easy, it won't be fast, but we are determined to make it happen - and we hope you can stick around for the ride.
